Louisa
Ha
Louisa Ha is an associate professor and
Undergraduate Coordinator in the
Department of Telecommunications, School
of Communication Studies, at Bowling
Green State University, Ohio, U.S.A. and
is the founder of the Emerging Media
Study Group in the School of
Communication Studies there. She created
the International Advertising Resource Center Web Site at
http://www.bgsu.edu/departments/tcom/faculty/ha/intlad1.html since 1996. Her
research interests are media management
and media convergence, media
technologies, media diversity,
international communication and online
advertising. She has published over 30
refereed journal articles in journals
such as Journal of Broadcasting and
Electronic Media, Journal of
Communication, International Journal on
Media Management, Internet Research, and
Journal of Advertising. Several of them
covered communication issues in
Sub-Saharan Africa. Her many research
awards include two-time first place
paper awards in Broadcast Education
Association’s Media Management and Sales
Division paper competitions, second best
faculty paper in the Association for
Education in Journalism and Mass
Communication’s Media Management and
Economics Division, the Advertising
Research Foundation’s Lysaker Prize
Award for Outstanding Research in Media,
and Outstanding Reviewer Award from the
Journal of Advertising. She is on the
editorial review board of the Journal of
Advertising, International Journal of
Advertising, Journal of Promotion
Management, Journal of Web Site
Promotion, and Ohio Communication
Journal. In addition to being the chief
editor of the Webcasting Worldwide book
published by Lawrence Erlbaum
Associates, she has recently published
eight refereed journal articles on the
convergence of the Web with the TV and
radio media. She received her Ph.D. in
Mass Media from Michigan State
University. Her Bachelor and M. Phil
degrees in Communication were from the
Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Raphael Nnajiofor
Okigbo
Raphael Nnajiofor Okigbo is a Reader in
Mycology/Plant Pathology in the
Department of Botany, Nnamdi Azikiwe
University, Awka Anambra State, Nigeria.
He had his first degree in Botany, M.
Sc. in Plant Pathology and Ph. D. in
Microbiology all from University of
Benin, Edo State, Nigeria. He is a
member many international and local
organization such a American Society for
Microbiology (No. 555946685),
International Society for Pest
information, Germany (C18157a), American
Phytopathological Society (No. 178683)
and Nigerian Institute of Food Science
and Technology. He has taught in three
different Universities at Various times,
the last being in the Department of
Microbiology, Michael Okpara University
of Agriculture, Umudike, Nigeria. While
in the University, he formulated a
method of preserving yams with
antagonist microorganism that had worn
him awards and commendation from The
Harworth Press, Inc. USA and in
appreciation sent him several free
copies of journals. He was a member of
senate of the university and chairman of
various senate committees. He is
currently in charge of Department
Seminar and Grants. He has attended many
International Conferences and the last
being the Third International Symposium
on Biocontrol and Biotechnology held at
Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan,
P.R. China (10th – 13th May 2005). He
has supervised Ph. D. dissertations and
many Masters thesis successfully. He is
a member of Editorial Board of
International Journal of Molecular
Medicines and Advance Sciences,
Faisalabad, Pakistan among others. He
has reviewed works for many foreign
journals that include Annals of Applied
Biology, UK and Fruits, France. Raphael
Nnajiofor Okigbo has many international
publications in referred journals
(search for R. N. Okigbo). His research
interest is on Biological controls of
storage crops and Phytomedicines.

Primus Igboaka
Primus Igboaka is a doctoral student in
the School of Communication Studies at
Bowling Green State University. Prior to
his current academic pursuit, he earned
an MBA (Management) from Tiffin
University, Tiffin, Ohio. He was a
Senior Correspondent of National
Concord, Lagos, Nigeria and Ohio Bureau
Chief for African News Weekly, now
AllAfrica.Com, an online news magazine
covering news and binging daily news
from more than 40 Newspapers and
agencies across Africa to United States
and the world.
His proposed research interests are
Media Management. Media Bias and
Stereotypes. International Communication
and Community Development. He has
published a book titled, “Africa beyond
wars, diseases and disasters.” His
awards include National Youth Service
Corps Award (NYSC) for exemplary
Behavior & Youths’ Leadership and
British Airways Journalistic Excellence
Award to Nigerian Newspapers.
